Still very little on of late – with only a few tips here and there. Today there is a couple of Champions League Quals but I do not see good value anywhere in that respect. The Russian 1st Division has kicked off again and there are a couple of games between ex-Premier League teams and a few that have just come up from the 2nd Division:
1. Tom Tomsk Win @ 7/5 vs F Voronezh (1700 KO, Russian FNL)
Tomsk started with a 4-1 win over another newly promoted since, and look like they should be heading towards the Premier League again next season. Voronezh have won 9 of their last 10 games – but all of those were pre-season or the end of last season where the league was pretty much a cake-walk. No challenge whatsoever! They lost the first game of the season to an average Tosno side, and with Tomsk scoring four in the 1st game, it gives me a plenty of confidence they will bag a couple and win.
2. Orenburg Win @ Evens vs Spartak Moscow II (1700 KO, Russian FNL) (NAP)
Orenburg finished just outside last season’s playoffs – and will be disappointed to have done so, being so close and often in the top four. Moscow II seem to be one of two extra teams allowed into the division this season along with Zenit II – as well as three promoted teams. Moscow II got hammered 4-1 by Tomsk on the weekend, and it may be early but with a lot of kids in the team being Spartak’s reserves, they could be cannon fodder against some of the bigger sides.
The only reason I have chosen as such is that although a different division, Voronezh will have great confidence – 9 wins in 10 games in any shape or form will breed just that. Spartak II did well last season but the Russian lower divisions are fairly poor, with 2nd string Spartak players much too good. This season could be a lot different, playing against much more experienced players.
Double pays around 4/1 – not much else on as mentioned so sticking with just two tips today.
Best of luck
