It’s been a week since our last set of tips – with the midweek period full of 2nd leg European games and the ‘Nobody Really Gives a Toss’ Cup – I felt it best to leave it all well alone.
This weekend looks a lot more like it – and as such I am picking a full acca of English games for the first time this season as after 3 games it all has calmed down a bit and you can see who is going to do well and who isn’t, in my opinion…
Cheltenham vs Exeter: Exeter Win @ 8/5 (League Two, 1500 KO)
Cheltenham, the team of where I live…are pretty awful. The last few seasons they have drifted by in the lower region of the table and barely survived some seasons. Whenever they get a decent player or two, they are instantly whipped away by a League One club, or even a title challenging League Two side. Exeter on the other hand look a good outfit – started well this season and have an excellent record against the Robins. 8/5 looks good value!
Northampton vs Peterborough: Peterborough Win @ 7/4 (League One, 1500 KO)
Peterborough are another side to start well this campaign – 3 wins from 3, and a lot of goals – they look a very good bet today against a Northampton side who are out of form, and have been for some time. They have struggled for goals thus far, and against a team banging them in, and early goal conceded could be a hammer blow.
Brentford vs Wolves: Wolves Win @ 15/8 (Championship, 1500 KO)
Wolves have had a decent start to the season – but I expect them to get better and better given the quality of players on offer. The likes of Diogo Jota, Ivan Cavaliero and Ruben Neves, even though all relatively young and inexperienced in such a league – are unbelievable players to have at this level. Not to forget Helder Costa, although he is injured at the moment. Brentford have had a shocker of a start – 3 losses in 4 games, they sit bottom and struggling. Star-man Jota could leave and due to this might not play today…so for me, the best part of 2/1 is value!
Bristol Rovers vs Fleetwood: Fleetwood Draw No Bet @ 13/8 (League One, 1500 KO)
Rovers have had an okay start – a win and a couple of losses, while Fleetwood are in the top three and have won all games without conceding, albeit against a few weaker opposition. At 14/5, it’s a big one to chuck in you’re acca, but with a DNB added in it is still great value @ 13/8.
As an accumulator, this pays around 52/1 with Bet365 – as usual prices may vary depending on where you shop – but as a base price that is pretty good. If you are feeling risky you could go straight on the win for Fleetwood which would make it an 80/1 bet!
Best of luck
