After a few quiet days, we are back with the first of the New Years’ football. I have two tips for each day – a duo of English games tomorrow and two Spanish games on Sunday. In total, both around the 3/1 mark and a 16/1 accumulator:
Fulham vs Sheffield Weds: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/1 (Championship, 1500 KO)
These two are very high scoring sides, while Fulham in particular are useless at the back. Even with a new manager, they should be in the same boat with the same defenders. A 4-1 win over Rotherham proves that – very capable of scoring plenty but always likely to concede. I’m not sure how this is still Evens in all honesty!
Anyway – the stats. Both have an overall record of 6/10 BTTS + Over 2.5, while Fulham have had 5 in their last 6 home games. Sheff Weds on the other hand have had 6 in their last 10 away. This game ended 3-2 in September – which gives me huge confidence.
Carlisle vs Plymouth: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 (League Two, 1500 KO)
This looks a good game potentially! Carlisle are the top scorers in the league, while Plymouth are top of the league.
In Carlisle’s 22 games – a total of 79 goals, with 42 scored and 37 conceded! 4 wins in their last 5 home games, and 41 goals in their 11 home games this season. 6 BTTS + Over 2.5 in their last 10 home games to boot. Plymouth on the other hand have conceded in 8 of their last 10 away games, and 4 win + BTTS in their last 5. 6 BTTS + Over 2.5 goals in those 10 away games mentioned
Leganes vs Real Oviedo: BTTS @ 1/1 (Spanish Segunda, 1600 KO)
This looks to be a cracking game. Leganes are very good at home, conceding in just 4 games of 9 at home, winning 5 and drawing 4, giving a total of 4/9 BTTS. Oviedo on the other hand are 4/1 to win this game, but have a knack for scoring most games – a total of 7/9 away and conceding in 7/9 away, giving 5/9 BTTS. They have scored 27 and conceded 22 in their 18 games, and in league and cup – 13 BTTS in 20.
Both in good form, so this could be 0-0 or 3-2. All things considered, a good price @ 1/1.
Athletic Bilbao vs Las Palmas: At Bilbao -1 Goal Handicap @ 1/1 (Spanish La Liga, 1715 KO)
Bilbao are very good at home – in all competitions this season, 11 wins in 15 and 9 of those are by -1 or better. Aduriz and Williams are two to watch out for, with both being in good form. The latter a lightning quick winger who is certain to star for Spain in the near future, and no doubt move on to a huge club for a lot of money!
Las Palmas on the other hand have won 0/8 away. Drawing just two and losing 6. 3 of which by -1 goal, and mostly to nil. 18 conceded, and with a dodgy defence at least 2-0 is my assumption of the scoreline. The Asian Handicap is a smudge up from the original win price of 4/11 @ 1/2.
BTTS, Goalscorer and my daily tips/rolling acca bet should be up in the next few hours. This one pays around 16/1 as mentioned.
Best of luck
