A great weekend ahead of us, filled with beautiful football! Having done my research and analysis – we have our 10 games, with 2 bets on each:
1. Bournemouth Win @ Evens // Win + Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 17/10 – (9/10)
Bournemouth are in very good form and beat Rotherham 5-1 a few weeks ago. They have won 4 out of 5 away games in recent times, scoring a lot of goals. Rotherham’s home form is average – 3 draws and 2 losses in 5 home games.
2. Ipswich Win @ 23/20 // Win to Nil @ 23/10 – (8/10)
Millwall have lost 4 of the last 5 home games, while Ipswich have won 3 and drawn 2 of their last 5 away games. Defence is pretty lean. Millwall have also lost to Bradford in midweek by 4 goals to nil, with a player being sent off.
3. Dover Win @ 4/7 // Win to Nil @ 8/5 – (9/10)
Dover are in terrific form. Won 3 and drawn 2 in their last 5 home games, with 4 clean sheets. Dartford have lost 4 of 5 away games, with 3 losses to nil.
4. Lincoln Win @ 5/4 // Win + BTTS @ 16/5 – (8/10)
Lincoln have won 5/5 home games, with Aldershot losing 3 in 5 away ganes. 3 of Lincoln’s 5 wins have had both scoring, and 3 of Aldershot’s losses have been with both scoring
5. Lyon Win @ 17/20 // Win + BTTS @ 16/5 – (9/10)
Lyon are in amazing form, topping Ligue 1. Lens’ form is indifferent, with the two meeting a few weeks back, Lyon coming out 3-2 winners. Lyon do seem to struggle to keep a clean sheet, and often come from behind to win, very late on.
6. Inter Win @ 6/5 // Win + Under 2.5 Match Goals @ 16/5 – (7/10)
Inter’s form is indifferent, but with new signings Podolski and Shaqiri potentially coming in and Mauro Icardi/Rodrigo Palacio in good form too, we can see them overcoming Empoli, who have conceded in one goal in their past 5 home games (W2/D3). 3 0-0’s in those 5 games gives me the feeling it could be a one goal game, in favour of Inter I would think.
7. PSV-Vitesse Over 3.5 Goals @ 11/8 // BTTS 2nd Half @ 7/4 (10/10)
Both in great form, and both struggle to keep a clean sheet. One game between the two last season ended 6-2. 2nd Half tends to be the higher scoring of the two. Really fancy these two bets!
8. Aberdeen Win @ 1/2 // HT-FT @ 23/20 – (9/10)
We all know about Aberdeen’s incredible defence! Something like 10 win to nil’s in their last 10 wins. Last time they conceded was a 2-1 defeat to Celtic weeks ago. There’s always a chance they will finally concede, and for this reason we are going for HT-FT instead. They have been ahead at HT in 8 of their last 10 games (just one loss). Dundee’s form is not very good. 3 losses in 5 away games.
9. Benfica Win @ 6/10 // Win to Nil @ 11/8 – (8/10)
Benfica have won 4/5 away games, 3 to nil. Maritimo are in good home form, but have not really been challenged, playing mainly lower league opposition. 6/10 good value for the win.
10. Las Palmas Win @ 7/5 // Win + Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 3/1 – (7/10)
Las Palmas have a terrific record on the road, against an Alaves side not brilliant at home. 4 wins from 5 away in LP’s record, whereas Alaves have won just one of 5 home games. The reason this is 7/10 instead of a 9 is the fact their last game they received 3 red cards, two straight, they will be missing several key players. Fringe players should do the job, but its a factor that could work against them. Clearly they have issues with player discipline.
Other games we looked at included Fiorentina vs Chievo, Celtic vs Hamilton, Estoril vs Boavista, Setubal vs Braga and Bristol City vs Scunthorpe, but for a mixture of reasons we have decided against those. These 10 are in my opinion good picks at good value.
