After a great week at the Cheltenham Festival, attention turns back to the football, and as the season closes in rapidly, it’s becoming a little easier to call certain games. As usual we have picked 5 games at Evens +, and 5 games below Evens.
There are a few games in very low leagues, such as Murcia and Tamworth – but excellent odds with the given statistics. Here are my 10 games:
1. Tamworth Win @ 8/11 vs Cowlyn Bay (3pm, Saturday)
Tamworth had an amazing run between about November and January, with about 10 wins in a row. Recently they have had some tough games, such as Fylde – so form is not brilliant. Cowlyn Bay have lost 5/5 at home recently and 3/5 overall. Tamworth have won 2 and drawn 3 overall, and won 2/drawn 2 away. They really should win this game, as they are pushing for promotion back to the Conference at the first attempt.
2. Hibernian Win @ 2/5 vs Cowdenbeath (-1 Goal @ 6/5) (3pm, Saturday)
Hibs are in incredible form, pushing for promotion back to the SPL. They have won 4/5 overall, and 4/5 away from home. Cowdenbeath got a 10-0 battering the other week against Hearts, and got a 5-0 battering last time out against Hibs. They have lost 3/5 overall, and 4/5 at home. -1 a great bet @ 6/5!
3. Man City Win @ 1/2 vs Burnley (-1 Goal @ 23/20) (5.30pm, Saturday)
Man City have had a lot of hard games recently, facing the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea. They have won 3/5 overall, and 2/5 away, with a couple of draws. Burnley have lost 3/5 both home and overall, and despite a 2-2 draw last time out against City, I can only see a nice win for City, who need to push to catch Chelsea. No more slip-ups!
4. Dinamo Zagreb Win @ 8/11 vs Hajduk Split (2pm, Saturday)
Zagreb have won 4/5 overall, and W2/D3 away from home. Hajduk have lost 2/5 overall and just one at home in the last 5, but had a lot of easy games. In the last 5 meets, Zagreb have won all 5, and of the last 5 away games against this team for Zagreb, they have won 4.
5. Zenit Win @ 1/2 vs Torpedo Moscow (Win + Over 2.5 Goals @ 7/5) (1pm, Sunday)
Zenit beat this team 8-1 last time out, and are in fantastic form – really dominating opponents, and putting them to the sword with plenty of goals. Despite a hefty winter break, they still did well in the Europa League, without any prior match practice. Won 4/5 league games overall and 3/5 away while Torpedo are unbeaten in 5 overall, but lost 2 against poor sides like Arsenal Tula at home.
6. Murcia Win @ 21/20 vs Tropezon (4pm, Sunday)
Murcia are now in the 3rd tier of Spanish football, but doing very well. They have won 4/5 overall and away from home. Tropezon are om decent form, but lost 2/5 overall and 1/5 at home. The last meeting was a 3-0 win to Murcia back in October.
7. Grimsby Win @ Evens vs Chester (3pm, Saturday)
Grimsby are in great form with 4/5 wins away from home and overall. Chester have lost 2/5 overall and 3/5 at home, with 3-0 and 2-1 wins in the last couple of meetings..
8. Panathinaikos Win @ 11/10 vs Ergotelis (1pm, Saturday)
Pana have won 5 of their last 5 league games, and 2/5 away with a couple of draws. Ergotelis have lost 2/5 overall, and 1/5 at home (a 3-0 win against a Niki Volos was awarded. Pana have won 4 of the last 4 away meets, and won the last meeting 5-0.
9. Debrecen Win @ Evens vs Haladas (2pm, Saturday)
Won 4, Drawn 1 overall, and won 4, lost 1 away. Very good form. Haladas have lost 2/5 at home, and 3/5 overall. Debrecen have lost 3 of the last 5 meetings. Haladas are bottom of the league and struggling.
10. Plzen Win @ 5/4 vs Dukla Prague (Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 6/4) (1.15pm, Sunday)
Plzen have won 4/5 both overall and away. Dukla Prague have lost 3/5 overall, and have good home form, with 1 loss from the last 5. In terms of recent meetings, Plzen have won 4/5, with the other being a draw. Plzen’s last 4 visits to Prague have resulted in 4 wins and 15 goals scored. Very good record!
I have picked out four pieces of value outside regular win-draw-win markets, which will form an Accumulator.
Tips shall be up in the morning around 6am!
Best of luck,
